FAQ’s
-
City Walker acts as a curated marketplace and booking facilitator. While we carefully select and list the experiences, the activities themselves are operated and managed by independent, verified local experts—including master artisans, professional tour guides, and renowned chefs. This ensures that your money goes directly into the local economy while you get the most authentic experience possible.
-
Because we partner with a variety of independent local businesses, cancellation and refund policies vary depending on the specific experience and the provider's individual terms. You will find the specific cancellation policy clearly stated on the booking page of each activity. Please note that as a booking intermediary, City Walker processes refunds strictly according to the terms set by the local host.
-
We personally vet every partner before listing them on City Walker. Our team looks for high standards of quality, deep cultural knowledge, excellent hospitality, and a proven track record. Whether it is a traditional mezcalería in Oaxaca or an architectural guide in Mexico City, we only work with locals we trust to deliver an exceptional, safe, and authentic experience.
-
Immediately after completing your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email containing your digital ticket. This email will include all the essential logistical details: the exact meeting point (often with a Google Maps link), the start time, and the direct contact information (phone number/WhatsApp) of your local guide or host so you can easily reach them on the day of your experience.
-
Yes, the vast majority of the experiences listed on City Walker are conducted in English, catering specifically to international travelers. In cases where an activity involves a traditional artisan or elder who speaks Spanish or an indigenous language (such as Zapotec or Zoque), a bilingual local guide will be present to translate and seamlessly bridge the cultural gap. The language details are always specified on the experience page.
